The Central Library Book Club held its first meeting this past Wedneday. If you couldn't make it but still want to join in there are still a few seats available. The next meeting will be Wednesday October 20th at 6PM in the Thielen Room (small conference room) at the Central Library. Ever wanted to learn calligraphy ? Now's your chance! Adults in the area are invited to join us on Tuesday September 7th from 10AM- 12PM as we learn calligraphy techniques that are useful for decoration, invitations, gifts, and special correspondence. Class will be held in the DeBakey Meeing Room on the second floor of the Central Library. Space is limited so be sure to register by clicking here or by calling us at 721-7118!

Summer has begun here and this summer we have a variety of activities that adults can take part in. On Tuesday June 8th @ 10AM, there will be a Beginner's Watercolor Painting class. On Wednesday June 16th @ 2PM, Chef Matthew Beaudin will give a demonstration of his culinary skills. On Thursday June 17th @ 2PM, crafty adults will use recycled materials and paint to create decorative magazine holders and file boxes. On Tuesday June 22nd @ 1:30, Magician Bart Glatt will give a demonstration as well as teach a few simple tricks to amuse your friends. On Wednesday July 7th @ 10AM, we will be making faux lacquer boxes to store keepsakes and other small items. All of these programs take place at the Central Library, located at 301 W.
